The OTI Education Centers offer local training specialization in subject matter expertise, based upon regional industry needs. The OTI Education Center Program is an integral resource in supporting OSHA鈥檚 training objectives.
Outreach Training Program (OSHA 10-Hour & 30-Hour Cards & Certificates)
The OSHA Outreach Training Program provides workers with basic and more advanced training about common safety and health hazards on the job. Students receive an OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour course completion card at the end of the training.
The 10-hour training program is primarily intended for entry-level workers. The 30-hour training program is intended to provide workers with some safety responsibility a greater depth and variety of training. All outreach training is intended to cover an overview of the hazards a worker may encounter on a job site. Training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention, not OSHA standards.
Outreach trainers are encouraged, but not required, to provide class certificates to students at the end of the class. This helps students provide evidence that they completed the class before they receive their student course completion cards.
Please contact us if you or your organization is looking for an Outreach Training Program class. We can help you find an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainers to deliver 10- and 30-hour outreach classes to workers in construction, general industry, maritime, and 7.5-hour or 15-hour classes for disaster site workers.
